MO was a collab project between the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the students of Mills College Northeastern’s game design program. The Mills students created a vertical slice level of a 3D puzzle platformer in which the player used elemental abilities to navigate a Chinese ink brush inspired landscape. The SFCM students were then tasked to be the audio team for this game’s production.
We were then able to display MO on the exhibition floor at GDC 2025.
In this project I worked as composer as well as audio implementer. I wrote adaptive music featuring Chinese instruments to highlight the beautiful art style that the Mills students achieved. I also implemented all SFX and ambient audio assets which were created by other SFCM students.
